Are you looking for fun and super easy games and activities for your baby shower? Look no further. We’ve gathered eleven of the best baby shower games and activities that all of your guests will love. 

1 - Motherly Advice

Most people love to offer advice, especially mothers. This activity allows them to do just that.

Supplies needed:

  • Journal from dollar store
  • Pen


  1. Make and print out a cover for the journal.
  2. You could call it something like: Sage Advice; Wisdom through the Ages; Baby Facts and Fictions; Motherly Advice; All the Advice you Never Asked for but Got Anyway! -- Be creative!
  3. Glue or tape the cover to the front of the journal.
  4. As guests arrive, tell them about the journal and ask them to write at least one piece of advice in the journal before they leave.
  5. Remind guests about the journal throughout the party. 
  6. Encourage people to write things that they wish someone had told them.
  7. Asks the guests to sign their name to their advice.

2 - You Can't Say That!

This game gets your guests to really pay attention to what everyone is saying.

Supplies needed:

  • Baby safety pins 
  • Prize for winner


  1. Choose the baby related word that will be considered the taboo term of the day. 
  2. Examples: Baby, diaper, cute, sweet, adorable, sleep, bottle, due, pregnant, mom, dad, etc...
  3. Make a sign that says, “The Taboo Party Term is … “  Be creative!
  4. Post the sign at your welcome table or somewhere where guests will see it.
  5. As guests arrive give each guest a baby safety pin to attach to their shirt.
  6. Let them know that they are not allowed to say the Taboo Term.
  7. Let them know that if they hear someone else say the taboo term, they can take the safety pin or pins from that guest.
  8. At the end of the party, the guest with the most safety pins is the winner.
  9. The winner then collects all of the baby safety pins from all of the guests and presents them to the mother-to-be and the mother-to-be presents the winner with the prize.

3 - Guess Who

This is a great ice breaker game if you will have a lot of guests who do not know each other.

Supplies needed:

  • Paper
  • Pencils or pens
  • Sharpie
  • Wooden clothespins 
  • Basket
  • Twine
  • Scissors
  • Prize for winner


  1. In the invitation, ask each attendee to bring a baby photo (1 year old or younger) of themselves to the baby shower.
  2. Write a number on each clothespin using a sharpie. 
  3. As guests arrive, clip a numbered clothespin on the corner of their baby picture and place it in the basket upside down so that other guests can’t see it.
  4. Once, you are ready to play the game, lay the clothes-pinned pictures on a table face up and with the numbers showing or cut a long piece of twine and tie it about eye level between two sturdy items in the room and hang the pictures along the twine using the clothespins.
  5. Give each guest a piece of paper and a pen or pencil.
  6. Ask them to write the numbers 1 through how every many pictures you have, down the left side of their paper.
  7. Set a timer for 3 minutes or so and tell them they have to guess which baby is which guest.
  8. If they don’t know a guest’s name, they will have to ask the guest their name.
  9. When the time is up, have all the guests sit down.
  10. Grab each picture one by one and hold it up and have the guests call out who they think it is, then ask who it really is to stand up or raise their hand and then return their picture to them.
  11. The guest with the most correct answers, wins.

4 - Dangerous Diaper Changing

This game will get your guests laughing.

Supplies needed:

  • 3 Plastic/Rubber baby dolls (do not use cloth dolls)
  • A package of the smallest disposable diapers you can find (preemie or newborn)
  • Nutella or chocolate icing
  • 3 packs of baby wipes
  • 3 travel size baby powder bottles
  • Plastic table cloth
  • 3 Blindfolds
  • Prize for winner


  1. Inside 3 of the diapers, put a spoonful of nutella or chocolate icing.
  2. Now take those 3 diapers and put one on each of the baby dolls.
  3. Place the plastic tablecloth on the table where the guests will be changing the baby diapers.
  4. Place the baby dolls spaced out on the table and the bottle of baby powder at the front center of the dolls.
  5. Place one diaper and a pack of baby wipes next to each baby doll.
  6. Blindfold the 3 guests who will be competing.
  7. The competitors must remove the dirty diaper, clean the baby with the wipes, apply powder and put on the new diaper.
  8. The first one to fully clean and rediaper their baby doll, wins.
  9. Give the mother-to-be the remaining unused diapers, wipes and powder bottles.
  10. If you have more baby dolls and enough space, you can have more than 3 people compete at a time. Or you can play a few rounds having the winner of each compete in the end against each other to determine the diaper changing champion. 

5 - Name that Poo!

This game gets lots of laughs and provides some of the funniest photo opportunities. Your guests will love it.

Supplies needed:

  • Microwave
  • 10 Different chocolate candy bars
  • 10 Disposable diapers
  • Sharpie
  • Paper
  • Pencils or pens
  • Prize for winner


  1. Use a sharpie to number the diapers from 1 to 10.
  2. Unwrap and place a different candy bar in each diaper.
  3. About 5 or 10 minutes before you are ready to play the game, have someone microwave each diaper and candy bar for a few seconds to melt the candy bar.
  4. After microwaving each diaper, smear the candy bar around in the diaper.
  5. Give each guest a piece of paper and a pencil or pen.
  6. Ask the guests to number from 1 to 10 down the left side of the paper.
  7. Set a timer for 6 minutes.
  8. Hand out the diapers to the guests and tell them to inspect, smell, touch or taste what’s in the diapers to try to figure out what famous candy bar it is.
  9. Make sure to get lots of pictures during this game!
  10. When the timer goes off, have everyone put their pencils down.
  11. Hold up each diaper in order and ask the guests to yell out what candy bar they think it is.
  12. The guests with the most correct answers, wins.

6 - Baby Bottle Chugging Contest

This game will reveal your true competitors and give everyone a good laugh.

Supplies needed:

  • Baby bottles with nipples (enough for each guest or determine a set amount)
  • Juice, tea or water to fill the bottles
  • Prize for winner


  1. Tape a piece of paper with a different number on it, on each bottle.
  2. Fill each bottle with the same amount of liquid.
  3. Keep the filled bottles in the fridge until you are ready to play the game.
  4. Give each guest a filled bottle and tell them to take note of the number on their bottle.
  5. Set a timer for 1 minute
  6. When you say go, the guests start drinking as fast as they can from their bottle.
  7. When the minute is up, ask the guests to place their bottles on the table.
  8. Place the bottles as close to each other as possible in a straight line.
  9. Determine whose bottle has the least amount of liquid remaining.
  10. The guest who drank the most wins.
  11. Empty the bottles and give the bottles to the mother-to-be.

7 - Learning to Eat

This game is messy and will get everyone laughing.

Supplies needed:

  • 3 Jars of fruit baby food
  • 3 Real baby spoons
  • 3 Plastic table cloths (to use as bibs to protect the guests clothing)
  • 6 Blindfolds


  1. Place 3 sets of 2 chairs each facing each other.
  2. Have 6 guests split into 3 teams of 2 each.
  3. Have each team sit across from each other.
  4. Have each team decide who will feed and who will be fed.
  5. Blind fold all 6 players and place the table cloth on each player that will be fed.
  6. Open each jar of food and hand the open jar and a baby spoon to the players that will be feeding their teammate.
  7. Set a timer for 1 minute.
  8. The goal is to feed as much food as possible to the other person without getting it all over them.
  9. The team who eats the most food with the least mess, wins.
  10. Give the mother-to-be the baby spoons after they are washed.

8 - Before They Were Famous

This game is fun and gets people thinking, laughing and talking.

Supplies needed:

  • Large foam poster board
  • Pictures of celebrities from their childhood 
  • Paper
  • Pencils or pens
  • Prize for winner


  1. Search the internet for childhood pictures of 20 famous celebrities.
  2. Print out the pictures and cut them out.
  3. Paste or tape the pictures to the foam board in an orderly or collage style fashion and number each picture.
  4. Make an answer key, so you don’t forget who is who!
  5. Give each guest a piece of paper and a pencil or pen.
  6. Ask the guests to number from 1 to 20 down the left side of their paper.
  7. Set a timer for 4 minutes and tell the guests to start writing down who they think each picture is.
  8. When the time is up ask the guests to stop writing.
  9. Point to each picture and have the guests yell out who they think it is.
  10. The guest with the most correct answers wins.

9 - Baby Shower Pictionary

This is a great ice breaker game and gets everyone involved and laughing.

Supplies needed:

  • Dry erase board
  • Easel to hold dry erase board
  • Dry erase markers
  • 40 Index cards
  • Small prizes for winning team


  1. Google baby related words and write one word on each index card.
  2. Divide guests into two teams.
  3. Mark off a spot in the corner of the dry erase board to keep score.
  4. Place the stack of index cards face down and within reach of the dry erase board.
  5. Each team gets 1 minute to draw and guess as many words as possible.
  6. 1 point is awarded for each word guessed.
  7. Play continues until one team reaches 10 points.
  8. Team to reach 10 first wins.

10 - Little Artist

This game will get a lot of laughs. Your guests will have a blast.

Supplies needed:

  • Cheap white paper plates (one for each guest)
  • Water based colored markers
  • Prize for winner


  1. Give each guest a paper plate and a colored marker
  2. Explain to each guest that you want them to draw the best picture of a baby that they can in 2 minutes.
  3. Set the timer for 2 minutes.
  4. Right before you tell them to start, say, “But there is one catch, you must place the plate on your head while you draw! Go!”
  5. The person with the best drawing of a baby or the funniest, wins, you decide!

11 - Baby Songs

This is a team effort and will get everyone thinking and working together.

Supplies needed:

  • Paper
  • Pencils or pens
  • Small prizes for winning team


  1. Divide the guests into teams of two or three people.
  2. Give each team a piece of paper and a pencil or pen.
  3. Set the timer for 3 minutes.
  4. Tell the teams they must list as many songs with the word “Baby” in the title that they can think of.
  5. After the three minutes, have each team call out their song titles.
  6. If another team has the same song title, all teams must cross off the song title from their list.
  7. If no other team has the same song title, it does not get crossed off.
  8. The team with the most song titles remaining at the end, wins.
